Job Description: Finance Officer
Project: GTZ IS Office Jakarta
Period of Contract: 15.07.2007 – 14.07.2008
Duty Station: GTZ IS Office Jakarta
The incumbent’s main task in this context is the support to the Head of
Admin and Finance of GTZ IS Office which is to be performed in a self-
reliant, independent manner and in accordance with the incumbent’s
superior. Furthermore the incumbent will support the office and all projects
in the field of financial administration management and assists in all
procurement tasks within Indonesia.
Within this context, s/he fulfils the following tasks:
Financial Administration Management
# Support of the economic efficiency and correctness of the entire
accounting at GTZ IS Office according to GTZ standards.
# Support of the Head of Finance in controlling budgets, monitor costs and
expenditures of GTZ IS Office.
# Take care of the payment of salaries to local staff.
# Assist to the management of contracts with clients, consultants and
contractors (compilation of all related documents such as timesheets,
budget controlling, preparation and submission of bills)
# Effect local procurement for GTZ IS Office and GTZ IS projects while
securing the economic efficiency and correctness of local procurement
according to GTZ standards.
C. Other Duties/Additional Tasks
# Prepare and undertake further job training related to his/her position and
duties if required by the Regional Director
D. Required Entry Qualifications and Competencies
# Masters degree in Business Administration; and a formal professional
certificate/diploma in Finance
# At least 5 – 7 years of professional working experience in a similar position
# Excellent command of MS-Office
# Good working knowledge of modern telecommunication systems
# Fluent in written and spoken German or English and other language skills
required by the country of assignment.
# Sound knowledge of Winpaccs is essential
# Experience with an international working environment, is capable of
working within an inter-cultural environment
# Excellent office administration and organizational skills and is self-
# Applicants with study and/or working experience in Germany preferred
